THE WINES

By minimizing the procedure differences (oak regimen, yeast strain, maceration time etc.) between the Argentine Malbec and the U.S. Malbec, the Argentine Syrah and the U.S. Syrah, Flying Trout Wines hopes to create a fascinating experiment with bi-hemispherical terroir.

In addition to the above mentioned science project, we will also bring you more creative, artistic and fun blends and wines made up of Torrontes, Cabernet Franc, Sangiovese and more.

Current Releases

2005 Deep River Red
Cherry, cocoa, plums, mud, cinnamon, fills the nose while cloves, blueberry and thyme hit the midpalate. This blend has a strong, everlasting finish due to the low pH of the sangiovese. It is a wine to pair with appetizers or food, but not desert or without food.

Decant for at least one hour if having the wine within the next year.
